OMAGEN - DP Tablet
Active Ingredients:
- Diclofenac (50 mg): A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation.
- Paracetamol (325 mg): A pain reliever and fever reducer.
Description & Mechanism of Action:
Diclofenac (50 mg):
- Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation.
- Used for arthritis, musculoskeletal pain, and injuries.
Paracetamol (325 mg):
- Works on the brain’s pain receptors, enhancing pain relief and fever reduction.
- Increases the analgesic effect of Diclofenac.
Uses:
- Joint pain and inflammation (arthritis, osteoarthritis)
- Muscle pain and sports injuries
- Back pain, neck pain, and sprains
- Post-surgical pain relief
- Fever associated with pain conditions
Dosage & Administration:
- Adults: Usually one tablet twice daily after food or as prescribed.
- Swallow whole with water (do not crush or chew).
Side Effects:
- Nausea, vomiting
- Stomach pain, acidity
- Dizziness, drowsiness
- Skin rash (allergic reactions)
- Long-term use may cause liver/kidney damage (due to Paracetamol).
Precautions & Warnings:
- Avoid alcohol (risk of liver toxicity).
- Use with caution in kidney or liver disease.
- Not recommended in pregnancy & breastfeeding without medical advice.
- Avoid long-term use (risk of ulcers and gastric irritation).
Drug Interactions:
